About

Hi, I’m Bella—storyteller, strategist, and soon-to-be wilderness guide. I founded Northlight Collective in 2025 to bring together two passions: helping small businesses thrive in the Adirondacks through meaningful marketing, and connecting people from all walks of life.

The name Northlight speaks to direction, clarity, and the quiet illumination that reveals truth over time. Whether I’m crafting content for a brand or leading a trek on mountain trails, my mission is the same: to create space for growth, connection, and authenticity.

With a background in digital content, social media, and community-focused events, I help small businesses turn their ideas into impactful, lasting narratives.

At Northlight Collective, we honor both the hustle and the stillness. We walk beside our clients with intention, integrity, and a little bit of wild magic.

It was in the 1970s that the Doxtader family decided to have a yearly family gathering at Raquette Lake. Soon, the parents of nine children became grandparents, and then great-grandparents. The families got bigger and the campsites filled up faster.

I was first introduced to the Adirondacks on these yearly trips to visit her distant relatives. Running around Golden Beach Campground with my cousins and second cousins have impacted who I am today.

In my adult life, I had come to visit Lake Placid during the warm summer months to escape to the forested trails. The beautiful mountain views and hiking the trails were the main attractions of this small town. Having lived a lot of my life in metropolitan and suburban areas, Lake Placid had been consistely on my mind and always welcomed me back during my trips.

When I found an open position, applied for it and received the job offer, I promptly moved to the area in December of 2024. Using Facebook, I created a group to connect with people in their 20s & 30s and started hosting events. In early April 2025, we hit 100 members!

Northlight Collective was founded in April 2025.
